What’s Right With Me?

When I smile, my eyes smile too.

That’s right with me.

When I say “hi” to anyone who needs a “hi.”

That’s a right for me.

And today. While I was waiting in line at Petsmart, and a lady with her dog asked, “Are you in line?” And I said, “Yes.” And she looked at me and pouted and tilted her head and said, “I only have this one thing, can I get in front of you?” And my smiley eyes got big and suspicious and for a second I thought, no way, wtf? But then, anyway, I said, “Sure.”  And was only mad for a second at her audacity. And then happy with myself for my kindness.

That’s right with me.

When I really super didn’t feel like taking Daisy and Peanut for a walk today because yesterday it was 75 degrees and today its 45 degrees with windchills in the teens. And I did anyway, because they so totally love their walks.

That’s what’s right with me.

And mostly, because I know how much I’ve been working and sitting and meditating and stopping to focus on all that is wrong and shifting to focus on all that is right.

That’s what’s awesomely right with me.
